Greetings, Do you mean put the * in front or behind the name (in the same Excel cell). Would it be * Smith Thanks, Bob

I agree with you that the wording is ambiguous. I'll see if we can fix that. Meantime, the proper format is: Smith* (in the same cell).

Thanks, Eric. On a similar note, I have uploaded the class list, but have not designated with asterisks those deceased. Looking at the FAQ, I see: As it is now, there is no dropdown list.

classes with many classmates don't get the drop-down. They need to use the SEARCH input field to find the classmates.

If you want to re-upload those classmates who are deceased, you can do RESET CLASSMATES and then create a file with only those classmates who are deceased and put the "*" directly after their last name. Then upload that file. The RESET CLASSMATES can be found under the Manage Classmates, Upload Classmates page. You will get the chance to choose which classmates to delete.
