Unable to "Post a Comment" on a classmates Profile Page

I have a classmate (Ben)who would like to "Post a Comment" on "Michael's" Profile Page so that all of our other classmates can read it. However, the long gray horizontal rectangular box that says "Post a Comment on (Michael's) Profile" does not appear on Ben's screen. The "allow classmates to enter comments on my Profile Page" box has been checked on Michael's profile. Can you give us some insight or advice? Many thanks,
