One of my members told me she gets random emails reminder her of people's birthdays - like John's BD is in a week, John's BD is tomorrow, don't forget to wish him a happy BD. Only gets them for some people. I have never gotten one. How does that happen? Do they have to subscribe to someone's profile? Does someone have to check a box for their birthday reminder to be sent?

Yes, this is because she has subscribed to a person's profile. If she unsubscribes, she will stop getting those e-mails.

We have a list one our homepage that lists the b'days of those who put theirs down with permission to publish.
As administrator, I periodically remind the entire class to check for b'days and send people a note. There are a number of free card sites OR a simple Note from you from the website. It's cheat to make someone happy.
