my pictures are right side up but when i upload them, they are wrong side up. i cannot find an editing button or arrow to change. please advise. thank you.

That's been reported a few times. This happens now and again for some users. To fix, load the picture into an image editor and then just save again. Then upload this new saved image and it will be correct.

thanks, gents. i have another question. now i am trying to delete a picture that is in the middle of a series. i have admin privileges; can i do it through the edit site pages? it seems easier on my individual page. thank you. karen f

In the Gallery Creator, go to the gallery you wish to edit and click on Photos. Locate the photo you wish to delete and click the Delete checkbox. At the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
