Our alma mater is to the tune of Annie Lisle which is in the public domain. Has anyone tried to put music like this as background music when you open the Website? I do not know how to go about it.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I have. The code used is shown below:

Replace /000/6/8/6/4686/userfiles/File/dt4-play.wav with the URL for your music that you upload to the file vault and change the wav in audio/wav to be consistent with your file.

Does it then autoplay when people log on?

I'm not sure I know how to do wgat you are suggesting. Might be beyond my capabilities. Sad

I will see if I can get someone to help me.

Thanks!
Janie

Either FC's or this example is done in SOURCE mode in the CC editor (click upper left editor icon).

Since CC now requires HTML5 to work, this is an HTML5 example for playing music. Recommend MP3 since that's a bit more universally supported. Change the audio file link as FC noted to your file location. Can be anywhere, not just CC.

Here are some links explaining LINK1 and LINK2

Posted while you asked the question Janie. If you click SOURCE mode you'll see your page change to the html 'code' that creates your page. This is called 'source'.

So what we are suggesting is html 'code' that will 'play' your music.
