I have my site set to restrict the Profiles page to logged in members. Therefore, if they click Join it brings them to the Missing Classmates page. This is fine. My one issue is that if they attempt to go to a password protected page, they are brought to a Login page which gives them the choice to login or join. Also fine. However, there is a sentence that says "If you haven't signed up yet, find your profile on the list of brothers" - which links them to the Profiles page. Can this sentence be removed or changed to read "If you haven't....click Join below"? Without that they are going in circles and never getting to the Missing page.

If they land on that page, there is a huge Join button for them to click that will get them to the Missing Brothers page. There is verbiage at the top that tells them what to do... " If you are a Brother and would like to join our site, please click the Join Here button below and find your name on the * Missing Brothers list. Then create your login and update your profile information. If your name is missing from the list please contact us and we will add you as quickly as possible. " We do not have an edit page in the system for this login screen.

Yes, there is a paragraph at the top - if they read it all and aren't still looking for something that says "Sign Up". It's easy to take for granted that others know what we know.

You're assuming that people would know that "signing up" means JOIN. When someone clicks on 'Sign In" on the home page because they weren't sure what "Join" does, then clicks on the verbiage which tells them "if you're not a member, click here to "sign up", the next screen they see offers a JOIN or Sign In button. And if they click the second one trying to "Sign IN/Sign Up", they go round and round - maybe trying the JOIN button, or maybe like one on Barbara's site, giving up.

That page has to exist somewhere, even if it's built from scratch by code. Can't be all that hard to change the wording to "click the JOIN button below and find your name on the list".

This is a step in the right direction. However, this message is not prominent and can easily be missed. If they don't see this new message at the bottom, they are still stuck in a loop.

It can also be confusing as the first line says HERE and takes them to the Profiles page, whether it is password protected or not. This new message's HERE link at the bottom takes them (in my case) to the Missing page, as it should. On a site that does not have the profiles protected, it takes them to the Profiles page. This is also correct.

Why can't the first line message be removed and move the new last line message to the top? That would solve the problem.
