I've seen a similar topic discussed in a thread, but in the context of using external features and multi-step workarounds (e.g., line-drawing tools and numbering each person).

I'd love to see CC add a Facebook-like capability to associate names with hovered-over faces in photos, such as the photos we will be taking at our reunion later this month. Of course, there would be, as appropriate, lookup of and linking to classmates in the website database.

I suspect that this might be time-consuming and expensive to develop, so I can appreciate that it may never happen.

A manual method would be to grab a free Weebly or Wix website and post the pictures there - then link from a CC page. Both Weeble and Wix provide extensive picture hover capabilities as well as nice slide shows.
