I know this topic has been discussed before, but I'm not your typical web creator and am having trouble finding my way with getting the music I put on my playlist from www.playlist.com to my class website. Where do I put the URL? On what page of my website? It's confusing to me. I want the music to play as soon as my classmates click on the website and to keep playing. I know I sound moronic, but this is really not my thing! And I've spent a week scanning in the photos so I just want to get it posted and emailed to the classmates pretty soon! Help, anyone!

Thanks so much!

You have to paste the code that playlist.com provided you.

On the page you want the player, put your cursor where you want the player to be. For ease sake, put it at either the very top or the very bottom of your page. You can move it later.

Click SOURCE. Ensure your cursor is where you want it. Click PASTE. Place the cursor at the end of the code. Click SOURCE again and your code will turn into a box.

Next, click the box so that it is highlighted around the perimeter. Right click Cut, move your cursor where you want the playlist and hit paste.

Is there a way to keep the playlist of songs playing as you move around to each tab? I have moved the playlist and added it to each tab, but I wanted to know if there is an easier way.

I put different songs on most pages. Just one on other pages and kept a longer playlist on the home page. I even chose a song for my own profile. Kind of cool.
I had thought that I might want to keep playing the longer list at first, but I put "All my rowdy friends have settled down" on the page where I have pictues from recent planning meetings and "taking care of business" on the reunion page and "that's what friends are for" on the missing classmates page. Too much??

Best option is to use a "pop out" player option, like this site: http://www.bahs88.com. This way your Classmates can just "pop out" the player and listen to uninterrupted music the entire time they are on your site.

How do you add a song to a single page? I would like a certain song to play when people click on "reunion" or "In Memory."

Also, I put a lengthy playlist on a left tab thinking classmates could select music and then browse the site, but it stops everytime you move to a different page. Do i need to put it on the home page? I like that page to look really clean. where should i put the popout player to keep the music going?

The best thing to do is use the pop put player option, like this: http://www.bahs88.com. That way people can pop out the player and continue to hear music the entire time while browsing your site.

By the way, you'll also shortly be able to upload a single song to a page using the new File Library feature.

I was successful in loading a playlist to my site. A huge feat in itself! But it's overlapping some of the other information. I'm assuming I have to do the "narrow" thing that Brad mentions in the FAQ. But how do I do that, exactly?

Look in your code view for that page. There are 4 widths of 435 listed there. Change all of them to 300. Then save your page.

Could you please help me out. I am trying to put music on our web page. But everytime I do the code and everything it comes up with a big playlist player and then you can't see the rest of the page. Plus I have a song I want to add to just the in memory of page. Having a hard time. If you could help that would be so great. Thank you, Susan

You need to reduce the size of your player if you want to fit it into your home page content column. To do this:

1) Read our FAQs
2) Click on Questions About Building Your Site
3) Read Question #13. Specifically read the part about resizing your player to fit your home page.
