When a user creates a new message or replies to an existing message there is this at the bottom of the posting screen:

Subscribe to Thread:

It defaults to Yes.

We had a user ask if they could default it to No. I'd only want this to occur on a user by user case, so it would be nice if they could configure it.

Is there a place where the user can configure this option? Maybe I'm just missing it.

Thanks Smile

Added to list of items to discuss when we revisit Threaded Forums. For now the default is yes as you mentioned, the theory being most people like to know when somebody has responded to their post without having to constantly check the board.

A user of mine wants to default it to No for herself. I'm guessing she's on the boards at her work and doesn't want an email notification message to come up reminding her that she's got a new email. She probably thinks its a hassle to have to set this to No all the time. Maybe she forgets sometimes.
