In the Upload Class List page it has the following in the instructions for the template:

Quote:

If a Classmate is deceased place a * next to the Last Name -- this will automatically place the Classmate on the In Memory page.

Does there need to be a space between the last name and the asterisk?

Thanks Scott. Buddy is doing New Site for Class of 1959, which will be added to our School, and my existing Class of 1960 for Anadarko. I just got word and found an Administrator for the Class of 1961 also.

Soon our little town of Anadarko, with 6500 population, will have THREE ClassCreator sites!!! Yayyy.

So when did you guys say the Alumni Page is available...I've forgotten....FOFL. Very Happy

Scott,
First name... then last name with asterisk at the end of the name?
Like this? John Smith*

In the spreadsheet template, before you convert it to CSV (comma separated values) format, put the "*" right after the last name. If you already have the file converted to CSV, you would put the "*" between the last name and the comma of the next field.

Yes, File has already been converted to a CSV file. Do I put the "*" to the right or left side of the last name, and in the same field ?

yes, to the right of the last name - directly after the last letter of the last name.

It would be useful to be able to upload the year deceased as well, perhaps using the format:
LastName*yyyy
Example: Smith*2003
