I've seen it mentioned that not all pages need to be at the top level and can be linked(?) so that one page can call them .. sub pages, secondary pages, ..

I'm just curious just how to do that and also, are the limitations on the number of customizable pages provided?

There are currently 8 available Customizable Pages. We'll be opening that up later and adding some new designs with sub menu options, but not until a rather lengthy list of new featuers comes out. But yes, if you click on Edit Site Pages, the instructions are right there on that page for creating a page using one of your Customizable Links, then deactivating it so that it does not appear on your left navigation, and then linking to it from another page of your site. In this way you can create site pages within your design that do not have to appear on your left navigation.
