I'm trying to get my admins to use the Admin forum, but some of them are saying they don't understand how it works. I am hoping that there is either a video clip or a tut out there that a admin has used to help their classmates. Anyone know of something like this?

I don't mean for admins. I need a learning tool for the committee members who don't understand. I think it might help a lot of our classmates as well, since it seems not many of them are versed in forum use.

There is not really a video right now as you are looking for. The closest we have is the How To Set Up Your User Forums - you can review the video on the CC site: http://www.classcreator.com/videos.cfm We'll add the other as a future video for development

Totally off-topic, but it has to do with ava's site. How did she make the left menu item Mish Mash BOLD ? I put COUGAR FORUMS and that made the Edit Site Pages item list bold, but not the actual menu item.

She used the h2 instead of b. Since "Cougar Forums" is too big (only allowed 20 characters), you cannot use h2 unless you shorten the name by 2 characters (one for h2 instead of b, another for /h2 instead of /b)

Thanks Kyle - should have looked at the source, too lazy That actually brings up the 2nd question. I realize that there has to be a limit to the total text size, however, the original limits did not account for formatting like this. How about adding a way to expand the length to "the list of things to do", to allow a lot more control over the actual text. Not sure how to accommodate both beginners and more experienced in how to option this, but it would be a nice feature. (Also applies to Home Headings - but that requires some more code for CC to strip formatting from Now to think of a shorter name that the rest can agree on And I'm really off-topic now

Pretty sure nothing will be done until ClassCreator 3.0 is released. We will have to wait and see if they allow longer menu names in the new release.

This is from Safari. I didn't expect it till then, more a general "do you think" this might be something of interest type of question. I wonder if others can see this thread? Pretty weird.

This is from my XP (32) machine and that appears to work OK too - FF 3.6.14 However, the text after "formatting from" is still missing - there's supposed to be sentence about also stripping formatting from the Class Name (when formatting hmtl is added) so it does not show up in the Title - for example I had "center" for a bit and that made for a messy title: center-Bothell etc (and this time I'm not putting the html there). FF (4.b10), IE 8, Opera and latest Chrome all get stuck on this thread running Win7-x64. But Safari handled it OK. None of the other threads have this issue - and since it happened instantly after I posted with the "title" somehow related. Oh well, more FYI since it's not a big deal.
