Is there anyone to make the "Announcement" feature in active for members that do not have admin privileges? I just ran across this with a member, and I have asked them to move the announcement to our message board, so that I can leave the front page for website/class information only. Thanks!

The administrators control which annoucements make it to the home page. There is a feature for classmates to submit an annoucement to the admin, however, that announcement does not go live unless the admin approves it.

You are not currently using the annoucements section on your home page as an admin. Therefore you could actually turn off the annoucement functionality entirely and that will turn it off for the classmates and admins. Go to Edit Site Pages - choose Home Page and then make Annoucements inactive. That will remove it from your Member Funtions and the classmates Member Functions.
