Is there a way I can remove names from the Profile Updates. I have received numerous complaints about this. A classmate will catch a mistake, such as a misspelled word, and it shows as a profile update, then other classmates are sending messages wanting to know what was updated and they get tired of having to explain. No, only the admin can update a profile and not trigger a profile update. There is a new feature that will soon be released so that when someone clicks on the PROFILE UPDATE name, they will be able to see what field was changed, but not the exact change (the words won't be highlighted that are new)

Kyle, I tried earlier to update my own profile, but some code (maybe the US map code) was making the page way too wide to see the subjects listed under the left side column. What can I do to correct that and pull the page back into alignment? Thanks, Anita www.johntyler1968.com Anita Bryant Beam

I am not seeing the problem, in either IE9 or Firefox. Presumably something on the page is displaying at too great a width. Try reducing the sizes of some of the larger images (you can drag the image corners in the page editor to adjust the size).

I'm not talking about edit/upload photos, it's the edit profile area where there is just wording. It is blown out. I've gone from 100% display to 75% display, nothing changes. The categories can't be seen on the left because of the left side bar. Anita

Hi Anita, You had a really long URL for the image showing the states you've visited, so we used the bit.ly service to shorten it, and that fixed the problem.

Thanks! Is bit.ly something that I could also use if needed again? Several classmates have that US map & use IE9. Thanks, Anita

Sure. Copy the URL from the code for the image, go to http://bit.ly and paste it into the field there, click the "Shorten" button, copy the resulting URL, replace the original URL with the new one on the Edit Profile page, and save changes.
