Deleting Attendee

Something has changed in the Reunion Planner. A classmate who has not registered for the reunion wishes to purchase a memory book, but is not attending the reunion. I manually entered her order as a registration, but only selected the booklet. I have done this previously with no problem. But now she has the attending reunion icon after her name in the Classmate Profiles. I deleted her registration but she is still showing up as an attendee. I am unable to change this. Also, she is showing up in the Profile Update list but she has no profile.
How can we add booklet orders without the person showing up as an attendee?

Hi Janet,

Can you give us the name of the classmate so we can look into it further? Thanks!

It looks like this is something that may require programming assistance to resolve. Please give us a few days on it.

Hi,
Is any progress being made here? I have 3 classmates who have purchased only booklets and they are showing the Attending Reunion icon and showing Yes to the Attending Reunion? question in their profiles. I don't have the ability to change this.

Janet,

This is what I think is happening.

You deactivated the two default questions for the Reunion Planner that NOW have been made so that they cannot be deactivated. These questions are : Number Attending and Names of those attending. The reason these cannot be deactivated is because they are used to tell if someone is coming to the reunion or not. Your custom questions (even if they are named the same thing) will not work for this purpose.

What I think happened is that your classmates who purchased booklets might have filled out these questions before they were deactivated, so they are being counted. The only way to fix this would be to activate those questions again and say "0" for the number attending.

The current Reunion Planner doesn't allow these questions to be deactivated.

I activated the first default question, but the answer is a dropdown and there is no "0".

Janet, I think I have this set up for you so it will work.

I created annother "event" in the Reunion Planner called "Memory Book" and moved the memory book item to it. Registrations are turned off for that event, as are the "attending" question and icon (they still show for the reunion event itself). Classmates can now purchase the book without showing up on the profiles page as attending the reunion.

I went to the attendees page in the reunion planner and clicked on Judith King's name, then deleted her original purchase and registration, then added a purchase back, using the new setup. You can do the same for others who only bought the book. If the classmates have already paid, you'll need to re-enter the amount received on the attendees page.
