Hi,

Take a look -- http://www.mcclatchy62.com/

Before I login, there is now a huge space over my latest note on the homepage.

After I login, the notice about the photos goes right to the top.

Very strange.

Please advise.

Bob

which browser are you using. I looked with Firefox and didn't see any problems.

Hi Kyle,

Very odd. I have been using Firefox 15.01, and had no problems until I added the graphic and text for the photos.
After I did, the space appeared before login.

I just checked with IE 9, and Safari, and they render fine.

I double-checked the source code for the above, but couldn't see anything out of order. Besides, it should render the same in either case, I would think.

Thanks,

Bob

I just checked the site in Firefox, IE9 and Safari, both logged in and not logged in for all three browsers, and not once did I see the described layout problem.

Really strange.
It still does it with Firefox 15, but not with IE9, and Safari.

The content of middle column, with the photo link, begins at the bottom of the right column with the "Missing Classmates."

Again, it didn't begin until I added the graphic, which should be a clue. YET, it looks fine once logged in.

No one on the Committee has complained, so it must be something on my computer. I'll try to find the Cookies folder (it moved on Windows 7) and trash the cookie and see if that does anything.

Thanks,
Bob

You could also try shrinking the width of the image that you think is causing the problems.

Hi Kyle,

I was thinking about that, but I had made the DIV 420px wide, and it worked after logging in.

Then I thought, the DIV is 420px, and so is the image...

'nuff said Smile

However, even though I reduced the image size 6px, I also narrowed the DIV for insurance.

Thanks,
Bob
