Edit Gallery dates

I have added some new slide shows and noticed the dates under the galleries are the dates I created them. Is it possible to edit these dates to show when the event happened or eliminate them completely?

You cannot remove or edit that date, but you can add the event date to the gallery title. For example your "Kids Fish Derby" gallery could be retitled "Kids Fish Derby - September 10th, 2012".

There seems to be a limitation as to the amout of room in the title.

I think that is so that the layout won't be adversely affected when multiple galleries are on a page.
