My IM is not working

I turned on the IM feature in my preferences but I dont see the IM funtion on my home page

If the IM is turned ON on your Preferences page, then you must have clicked the X on the IM window to turn it off. Please take a look at your left navigation under the Member Functions and look for a Link that says "Turn On IM" ... that should reactivate it for you.

Sorry if I sent this twice (not sure if I did). I am having the same problem. There is no Turn on IM link in my Navigation Bar, under Member Functions. And my profile is set to allow IM. (using Chrome and Windows 7)

Hi Jim, It seems we have been having some as-yet-undefined problem with Chrome/Safari and our IM feature. We are aware of it and it is on our to-do list. The best thing I can suggest in the interim is to use another browser if you really need that feature.
