Selling a "free" ticket
Posted Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:33 PM

We have decided for our 45th reunion, to just have a gathering at a restaurant/bar. Is there a way for people to register without paying so I can keep track of who is planning to come?

You don't really need to sell a reunion ticket, but you could sell "Support our website" items that could help you pay for the website. if you set the price of the item to "8888" (without the quotes), the classmate can choose how much they feel comfortable donating to your website.

Other than that, you can just do your Reunion Survey and ask how many will be gathering to the restaurant. The classmate would then give the number that plan to attend. If they need to choose a specific meal, you could ask the reunion/gathering question to include the food choice. For example: "number attending (chicken entree)"

There are reunion reports you can run to get the totals of your reunion survey questions.

I was able to go in and put a $0.00 dollar amount for the ticket, so it's exactly what I was looking for.
