I'm not sure how to explain this, and it may have been covered in another post, but the content section of my class website doesn't cover much space on my screen. There's about 1-1/2" of background on both sides of the content area. Is there a way to make the content part wider?

A few observations:

1. You are using one of the Professional Designs for your layout, versus the Responsive Design. Therefore, you have space on both sides of the homepage.

2. On the home page, there are links on the left side and modules on the right side of the content that further restrict the width of the content. This is normal and can't be avoided on the home page. On other pages, the modules on the right side are not there, so the content is wider.

3. Bottom line: If you switch to Responsive Design, your content will be wider.

The choice between Professional Design and Responsive Design is found under Admin Functions, Change Design.

Besty, give the Responsive Design a try. You can switch back, yet I think you'll like the end result.
