Classmate photos in profile & gallery

Before I remove photos from the Gallery, I have a question. Classmate John Smith (real name) added approximately 117 photos from the reunion to his profile. The same photos are under his name in the Gallery's 40th Reunion. Are these photos saved twice in our vault? I need to remove photos to make room for more and am not willing to take a chance that a copy of these photos will will be 'safe' downloaded to my computer. Why? The first time I saved them on my system...my hard drive crashed. Thanks.

He must have a camera in his sonic screwdriver... The profile photos are saved separately and do not count against the file vault storage total.

It was a reference to the use of the alias "John Smith" by The Doctor on the "Doctor Who" TV series.
