How about a checkbox for admins to password protect the appearance of reunion icons on the class list?

The reunion icons create a security problem by letting the world know when people will leave their homes empty. Homes have been burglarized because of this kind of info on social networking sites.

Most CC sites don’t have their class lists password protected. Anybody who sees your reunion icon can find where you live through the internet. Or the weird neighbor down the street, who already knows where you live, can easily find you on your class website and see your icon. Most CC sites also advertise their reunion date, or the date may be found through other sources like alumni websites. That's a lot of useful and easily accessible information for even the laziest burglars, practically an invitation.

The advantage of icons open for everybody to see is that it might encourage a non-member to attend a reunion or join the website. But some admins may conclude the risk outweighs the advantage. So a password protection option would be useful.
