While i have no answers to your questions, our boys have used a great site www.blurb.com
for publishing school projects and photographs. The company is very user friendly and does outstanding work. Prices vary, and both soft and hard bound options are available. Everything is submitted over the internet and they are very prompt. Books can be reordered as necessary. It's a great site with lots of hints and helps!
Cookbook options or recipe collections would seem like a wonderful project for some classes. There are other admins that have recipe pages...perhaps they have some advice and hints! Happy Cooking and Have Fun!
