I uploaded several yearbook photos and now they are gone. Is there any way to retrieve them? What did I do wrong?

Hi Mary, My programmer was unable to locate any trace of successful uploaded images to your profiles. When you have about 10 minutes, give me a call and I will walk you through the upload process for one or two of the profiles to be sure they are going up properly. 734-585-5605 Thanks Scott

Mine are ALL gone from both my websites. I had yearbook photos from 50 years of history uploaded years ago & all are missing now.

Actually they're not ALL gone. Yearbook pix of deceased classmates still appear on their Memory pages. My personal profile has 1 photo out of several I uploaded some years ago.

Looks like Amazon AWS for CC no longer works?? Some RD sites appear to be OK. Strange since it's the same AWS bucket. Sample image link that doesn't work https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3images.classcreator.com/13077/001/6813515/3212A50F-90B1-1C17-D1BED1119BACAF8A-XLG.JPG

My other website is http://www.claremonthighalumnisociety.com Random samples show that classmates registered on the site have lost their yearbook & uploaded personal photos. Those NOT registered still have yearbook photos.

Directly from Amazon: Update at 10:33 AM PST: We're continuing to work to remediate the availability issues for Amazon S3 in US-EAST-1. AWS services and customer applications depending on S3 will continue to experience high error rates as we are actively working to remediate the errors in Amazon S3.

I'm not sure what Amazon has to do with this. When I uploaded profile photos I uploaded them directly. I now see that NONE of them are there and the little photo indicator is also missing in the Profile page.

...and same at this site of mine. I also uploaded hundreds of yearbook photos directly on this one several years ago. They were there just yesterday. My Us Then & Now page, Veterans' Tribute page and In Memory seem to be showing pics OK. All of the yearbook photos and photos added to profiles by individual classmates are missing.

Amazon Cloud is where the photos are stored. Amazon is having issues with some parts of AWS East used by CC. Some of the pictures are not stored on AWS and not all EAST data is affected.

Your images are uploaded to our server and then backed up immediately to our Amazon Cloud account where we host the images and serve the images back to the sites. We do this to harness the power of the speed that is offered by the much more powerful Amazon Cloud servers.

Update from Amazon: Update at 11:35 AM PST: We have now repaired the ability to update the service health dashboard. The service updates are below. We continue to experience high error rates with S3 in US-EAST-1, which is impacting various AWS services. We are working hard at repairing S3, believe we understand root cause, and are working on implementing what we believe will remediate the issue.

Agreed Scott is great but CC has nothing to do with this fix. It's all on Amazon's cloud.

It does appear to be resolving. I would not rule out occasional blips in the service while they continue to work out any kinks.
