New Problem With Site Access

I was having a problem with Chrome yesterday so I uninstalled and re-installed. I now have Version 69.0.3497.81 (Official Build) (64-bit). Since then when I access either of my 2 active sites, I receive a message that site is not secure and sensitive info should not be entered. I recall that I had always been accessing my sites via https:. Now when I enter that, it is automatically changed to remove the https and to say it is not secure.

Anyone else having this problem? Anyone know how to remedy this? I don't want my users having an issue. Thanks much. Even after login when I go to any pages including Edit Site Pages, I see the "Not Secure" message next to the URL.

ADDITION: I also see the same message when opening in Firefox on an older XP machine.

That's pretty much the new "standard" now if your site is not https. You can buy https SSL certificates if you like, but it really does not make much difference here.

The only way to get a "free" certificate is to use the long classcreator url that starts with https.

That's why when you log in it reverts to https (the long classcreator actual URL) and when you use the planner it also reverts to https for payment.

Here are some links for background

SSL link1

SSL link2

This confuses me as up until last week or so, I had a link to https://pktalphagamma.com and it always worked without giving me a "non-secure" message. Now if U use that link I get the message that site is not secure and "this server could not prove that it is pktalphagamma.com; its security certificate is from www.classcreator.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connecton."

You are using an invalid link since you do not have an SSL certificate for your site. IOW, you can't use that (https) starting for your site.

It worked before and browsers switched it for you, but now rules are being enforced. Just use the correct name and everything will be fine.

This is the correct link to use:

http://www.pktalphagamma.com/
