I am trying to set up a user forum for our site.
I have watched your youtube video.
Logged in as an admin, when I go to user forums, the options listed do not include Member | Add/Edit Forums | Edit Users | Forum Preferences.
instead I only have
Forum List | My Settings | Forum Photo | RSS

Maybe the link is a bad address?
Maybe not. Maybe I shouldn't offer possible reasons. Just ask for help. So I will.

It appears you can login to my site and look at my setting options
Please do so and help me solve this puzzle
Thank You

Larry,

You don't have permissions to set up the User Forums. You need to contact your Root Admin (Nancy) and have her grant you "Moderate User Forums" admin access. If not, then she will have to add the forums.

Thanks Kyle
Is there a 'global' permissions setting that Nancy can give to allow me control over the rest of the board?

Another way of putting it.
Can there be 2 or more root admins?

Hi Larry,

The root controls the site. Yes, Nancy can give you access to everything with one exception - the ability to change the root admin.
Should you or Nancy need further assistance, do come back to these forums! Smile

Thanks Gwen
Either here or by email or by private message;
Please give me step by step directions as to how Nancy can give Janet and I full access.

Much Appreciated

They would need to go to Manage Classmates > Enter Edit Classmates > Details next to your name. Scroll down to the Grant Admin Rights area and select any of the Privileges that are desired.
