OK, After reading for a while, I still can't find my answer although I am sure it is out there somewhere.

My Instant Message on the Bottom Right is missing

I have no 'turn on instant message' tab on the left.

We have a platinum membership.

The account you are using is a non-displaying Guest account on your site (does not display on the class list) so the IM is not available for use with that account. Classmates can't see you at all, so they can't send you an IM, and if you were to be able to send them one, they wouldn't know who it was coming from.

Thank You Eric. I figured it was something stupid that I inadvertently did. That must be why people were telling me they could not see me online. Thanks again, and as usual, you Customer Service is stupendous.
