Our Originator/Administrator passed away in January and 2 of us have inherited our website and are having extreme difficulty trying to insert a new announcement on the Home Page. The original announcement is a WORD document with 2 photos and we've been told WORD documents are hard to upload, so we've made it into a JPG and a couple of other types - no luck. Neither of us are experienced with websites and are limping along "trial & error" and reading FAQs, etc., but no luck with this problem.

Anyone have experience with our particular problem who could walk us through the process? We'd be so extremely grateful for your help.

I do not recommend using word to compose your content. The best way to compose your content is to type directly into the editor window that is provided on the Edit Site Pages page. So, announcementso are composed at Edit Site Pages > Edit Page for Homepage > Edit Announcements > and either Edit for an existing announcement or Create a New Announcement.

You can use the editor window on that page to type your content and do minimal formatting.
