Removed Item doesnt disappear

I removed a link called REUNION PICTURES from my site pages but it didn't disappear from the left-hand column. When you click on the link, it says Error 404 Page Not Found. Shouldn't that left-hand link disappear if I delete it?

I'm wondering the link in question is a cfm page. Which if you change the link to htm. Save it and then delete it. If that might work?? Scott
