Using his default browser of Firefox 47, one of my users gets the following error message when he tries to access our site by typing in the URL. "We are offline for a brief maintenance update. We will be back online shortly." But, when he clicks on a link in a site email, he goes directly into the site with Firefox. IE 11 works fine for him.

That page is likely cached in his internet connection... his router or cable modem. Have him unplug that device for 60 seconds and then clear cache / history in browser for good measure. Should be all set after that.

Browser cache was the culprit. Way to go Scott!
