I just tested it on an Iphone and it worked fine in multiple browsers, however, it is a newer phone. If they are using an older copy of Safari they may be having issues with many sites. Have them try Chrome for Iphone - it is updated more frequently. Apple stopped supporting the older versions of Safari so they won't see any updates for that software.
