Many of our classmates are uploading photos to their profiles since our reunion occurred this month. How can I find out if we are near the peak of our allotted memory space for storing images on the Web site? Is there a way I can see the amount or percentage of the 200 MB storage we have used to date?

If you go into your File Vault you can see the percentage of space you're using right there. Let me make one thing clear though: Your Classmates' Profile photos are not counted at all. Thus you needn't worry about your Classmates running you out of file space. The only items counted are files that Administrators upload directly into File Vault. Your File Vault will allow you to upload roughly 6,000 photos (at a typical size and compression), or about 1 hour worth of streaming video. For most people that's ample space to do virtually anything they're wanting to do.

Thank you so much for the information. I'm glad to see that classmates have unlimited space to upload images on their own profile page. I also checked our site's file vault usage by using the instructions I found on another forum discussion (see below).

1) Click Edit Site Pages
2) Click the Edit button next to the page you wish to place your photo on
3) Click the yellow "image icon" on the editor task bar
4) Click your File Vault button

I checked out your site and I would like to know how you put up the link that lets people share the site on Facebook.

Also, I love the slide show of your reunion. Can you point me in the right direction as to how you did that?

Thanks! I've only been doing this for 2 months so it's all a learning process.

TO PLACE THE FACEBOOK LINK ON A PAGE, ADD THE FOLLOWING SOURCE CODE WHERE YOU WANT THE LINK TO BE:

<script>function fbs_click() {u=location.href;t=document.title;window.open('http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u='+encodeURIComponent(u)+'&t='+encodeURIComponent(t),'sharer','toolbar=0,status=0,width=626,height=436');return false;}
</script>

Share this Web page on Facebook

THE SLIDESHOW ON OUR HOME PAGE WAS MADE USING PHOTOBUCKET (IT'S FREE!!!). YOU CAN FIND PHOTOBUCKET AT http://photobucket.com/. AFTER SIGNING UP FOR AN ACCOUNT, CLICK ON "MY ALBUMS"-> "SLIDESHOWS" -> MAKE SURE YOU ALREADY HAVE YOUR IMAGES DOWNLOADED TO PHOTOBUCKET -> CLICK THE PLUS SIGN ON THE IMAGE THAT YOU WANT TO HAVE IN THE SLIDE SHOW -> CHOOSE "STRIP" FROM THE LIST OF STYLES -> SAVE YOUR SLIDESHOW. NOW RETURN TO "ALBUMS & UPLOAD" WHERE YOU ROLL OVER THE SLIDESHOW THUMBNAIL OF THE SLIDESHOW YOU JUST CREATED. NEW LINK INFORMATION WILL APPEAR UNDER THE THUMBNAIL, THEN CLICK ON THE WORD "MORE>>." A NEW WINDOW WILL OPEN UP. IN THE BOX UNDER THE WORDS, "Having trouble? Try using this code to post on another website:" COPY AND PASTE THIS CODE TO THE SOURCE OF THE CLASS CREATOR PAGE YOU WANT THE SLIDESHOW TO DISPLAY. IF YOU PUT THE SLIDE SHOW ON THE HOME PAGE YOU WILL NEED TO MODIFY THE WIDTH TO ABOUT 400PX. BELOW IS THE CODE ON MY PAGE:

YOUR CODE WILL LOOK SIMILAR TO THE CODE ABOVE EXCEPT THAT YOU WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT LINK ADDRESS (THE ONE YOU GET FROM PHOTO BUCKET). GOOD LUCK. I'M PLANNING TO PLAY AROUND WITH THE "REMIX" OPTION ON PHOTOBUCKET, ALSO, AS IT LOOKS LIKE THE VIDEO SHOW YOU GET FROM THAT HAS MORE OPTIONS THAN THE SLIDESHOW.
