emailing the class

I've created an email for the class regarding the death of a classmate. I tried to send it to myself as a test several times three hours ago, and have received nothing. I went ahead and sent it to the class anyway, and have heard from at least one classmate that they did not receive it. Might I have done something wrong?

Hi Bill, We just spoke on the phone. There was a backup in the mail server and this should be resolved shortly. You will receive the test that I sent around 4:15, and you will know things are moving again. Thanks

Scott, it's after 6 p.m. central time and I have still not received anything. I also just got a message from a classmate that she has not received the class email either.
