I'm reposting this in the general discussion area and because the last time I did the post I may have typed it in where others were confused.

I was trying to get opinions or find out if it's an ok thing to do by asking businesses in a different city than where my high school was.
Since I live in St. Louis, Mo which of course has so many more businesses but my high school is in Poplar Bluff, Mo which is a town of approximately 20,000 which means not so many options to ask for business contributions/donations.

Any opinions are appreciated.

There were a couple of us who responded. We thought you should give it a try, but realize that the St. Louis people would have very little reason/incentive to donate.
