Since Opt-In was implemented, I've had a series of problems with new members who claim they don't understand the concept, never got the opt-in email, and don't seem able to follow instructions on how to resend it. I know the address is valid since we've been corresponding via private mail to the address on file.

Since admins are not allowed to resend the opt-in email at least once (my first choice), could we set up a 'nag/reminder' message similar to the one members see when they log in after an email has bounced? A short description of why it's necessary (no site generated emails until they do it) plus a link to resend the opt-in mail should help.

When the classmate needs to opt-in, it already shows up with links IN THREE PLACES on the home page, so you now want to add a "Nag message" and have the link appear FOUR TIMES?

There is already a similar "nag message" at the top of the screen, it says this: "YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS NOT CONFIRMED. Resend Confirmation Email. When the email arrives click the link inside. You cannot receive emails from the web site until the link has been clicked. "

The other two places are right below the login box:
"Action Required:
Resend Opt-In Email"

and the last place is the left-side menus:

Thanks Kyle. I had not, obviously, ever seen what the members see. That message at the top of the screen is exactly what I wanted. Now... if you can just find a way to get the members to comply.....
