OK - I hate to copy but they had such a good idea I'm going to steal it.

I like the school bus link to the reunion registration.

I assume this is simply a link added to the home page or the announcement section.

I tried adding a link to my reunion page and managed to get that going. It does the job, but isn't even close to this.

How does a person set this up? I like the special graphics and the fact the actuall "http" link doesn't appear....users simply click anywhere on the graphic.

Could you point me in the right direction please.

Thanks

Hi Jason,

You can make any graphic you uploaded into the home page or announcement area a link by right clicking on the graphic and choosing the Image Info tab for the image properties. There is an area there to add a URL/Link. Make sure to include the full URL http://www.full-link-here.com/pagename.html -- by default any graphic with a link embedded will have a blue link border around the graphic - you can turn this off when you are creating the link by adding 0 into the border field in that same Image Info tab when you add the link.

worked like a charm. Now I just need to find the best software for designing logos. I was using Publisher, but there must be a better one out there.

Any ideas?

I have only seen or heard of one person get upset about "copying" or "borrowing" from their site. I know the bulk of us love to share! No need to apologize.

Exactly. Smile We can't really encourage copying, but we can certainly encourage encouraging copying. Smile

I had seen the school site with the bus, but now can't find it in the Forums. I'm trying to find the original .gif of the bus. The one I copied has their school team "Eagles" written on it. I'd need to change that. So, I'd appreciate help contacting that admin., or the web site where I could find that .gif. Thanks.

Thanks so much - that's the bus. But wasn't the original animated - a .gif rather than .jpg? Maybe I made that up?

Diana...the original referenced in this thread is a jpg.

Check out this page of animated school bus gifs:

Thanks. I found those - some nice ones. Do you or anybody know which school had the bus? It will help a lot. I know there was an animated one because I copied it - it was titled "005678_getonthebus2(1).gif". If I had the school name, or URL, I could contact the admin.

Thanks for all of your ideas!

Diana...yes, it's a gif, not a jpg, I was wrong about that. But it's not animated, here is the site that you copied it from:

Very Happy

Thanks again. My computer had been acting up earlier and every time I tried to go to that site, it took me back to the forum. At any rate, you are correct. I guess I did make it up! In my search I saw a few free programs to animate things. But it's too late for that tonight!
