A classmate who has joined the site previously has been unable recently to access the website - he thought it might be because his email address was not correct but I've checked and that's not the problem. It doesn't even give him an opportunity to change his password. It is woods Boyle

Make sure he didn't turn cookies off. Also try another browser.
