Those are really great too. So many choices, it's difficult to choose just the right one. If you want snow here are two sites: www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/snow.htm and activeden.net/item/drag-and-drop-snowflakes. The later charges $3.00 but it sounds really simple to use. The first one actually looks like snow falling. We are going to have a lot of fun with Christmas. We could change our sites daily and still not use everything. Merry Christmas!

Kyle, thanks for the tip regarding snow effect. But for a part time Web site developer.... would you please refresh my memory about where to paste the code on that site to produce the snowfall effect? Would an announcement source code do the job? Thanks for your advice. Larry Gilbert - www.RockyRiver63.com

Larry, That's what I have done - set up the snow, fireworks, etc., as an announcement. The other benefit is that you can use this again - just activate, and set up the activation dates.

Thanks, Esther! What a treasure trove of ideas! An instant "bookmark" page of ideas! Thanks again! kris (p.s. Larry, you can make an announcement for the code, and each time you "change " it, just make a new one with the code of your choice, snowflake, leaves, bats,hearts,etc...deactivate when not in use. This helps you find almost anything you want to use in the future! Store ideas when you find them,etc...Have Fun!)

Kris - Sounds like a great idea, but I don't have a clue how to do what you are talking about -- save it as an announcement. Can you please elaborate? Thanks... Betsy

Betsy Betsy & Larry, You can create a new announcement (Click on POST ANNOUNCEMENT link) and inside of the source code (click the SOURCE button), you can paste the codes to display the Falling Snow effect (or any other effect). Then when it is time for snow, just activate the announcement. When it is time for the snow to stop, just deactivate the announcement (or set an expiration date). Then next year, when it is time for it to snow again, just activate it again. Betsy, I don't know if you know this, but your HOME PAGE is password protected. This means that unless you have sent out the link to your "Classmate Profile" page to your classmates or sent them the "site password", they will not be able to find your website. It also means that Google and other web crawlers probably are not indexing your site because your home page doesn't have any links to the classmate profiles (because the web crawler will only get a PASSWORD REQUIRED page)
