Do you post a list of those attending the reunion?

On your homepage? I was wondering what would be the best way to handle this. I thought if we kept a running list of names it might generate more interest.

Thanks, Ann

Once we got within about a month before the reunion, we posted a list of attendees who had registered and paid on an interior page - which I would update on a daily basis. I put the names on a password protected interior page, rather than the home page, for privacy reasons so that search engines wouldn't get the names. On the home page, I put the number of paid attendees up and directed folks to the right page to see who was actually coming.

This created a lot of momentum and people would email friends not on the list to get them to come. It was recommended to me by someone on this forum and I would recommend it to others.

I posted a list closer to the reunion. We have 650 attending. It was a chore keeping it accurate but also helped in case of missing checks. It did help because people were more apt to come if they knew that people whom they knew would be in attendance.

I also put it in a password protected page

I used one of the custom pages. I set it up in a Word table format, copied and pasted the updated list daily starting with the first reservations.

With the table format you can keep the names separated with the shading, rows and columns. Excel drops the lines making it difficult to follow after the first several names were added. We had three main events, tours and golf - each classmate (and guest) listed showed exactly what they signed up for. It was also helpful for us to easily gauge the interest and shift gears when necessary.

I can send a sample if you are interested.

For some reason I can't seem to get the document to attach here. I will send it by e-mail.

For everyone who expressed interest in seeing the Reservations table I used, please e-mail individually, I will send it as an PDF attachment. Everything I've tried here ends up scrambled, I am sure there must be an easy way but for me e-mail will work.
