When someone enters our web address it takes them to a login page. Is there anyway to let the public see our home page only, without registering?

This is our 50th reunion and some of the classmates still don't trust sites that make you login.

We want them to see the calendar of events and then if they want to join they can logon.

How should/can I handle this?

You can allow the public to view your home page by doing the following: Admin Functions > Edit Site Pages > On the Home Page select Edit Page > Under Content Area, uncheck the box that says Logged In* and check the box that says Active.

Then can the public get to the personal information of the classmates?

Only if the classmate allowed it. You can check this yourself by logging out, clicking profiles and then click on a classmate. All "locked" profiles have a padlock. You also need to unlock the profile page to make it possible to actually join Idea

So far it looks like you've locked all your pages Question

I've also learned from another thread that you can unlock the home page, thus allowing classmates to see it, by doing the following: Admin Functions > Edit Site Pages > on the Home Page click Edit Link > make sure the box that says "Restrict to Classmates only" is unchecked.
