We launched our new web site in December of 2011 in preparation for our 50th Reunion.

Found a bunch of spirited folks to help search for missing classmates. We have found nearly 75% of this class of 430. So far we have only persuaded about 44% to actually sign up. The pre-digital generation is a bit slow.

That's wonderful that you've already found 75% of your class!! As far as persuading the others who haven't signed up yet... well, once word gets out that friends are back in touch with others, you probably won't have much problem convincing them!

Hi Bob, I think you're doing extremely well. Our Reunion will be in March of 2013. We've had join 37% of our graduating class of 75 girls with 4 deceased so far. At first I just started the website and started reaching out to people I knew. Then I found FaceBook and commented about it there.
Let me back up and say that I really started when I joined classmates.com. That was slow and tedious. However, I had never done anything like this, had never been to any reunion, AND my apathetic class had never held a reunion in 50 years.
No, no!! I believe you're doing much better than anyone would have anticipated. In what month are you planning your reunion. We're already into February.
For us, 37% = 27 alumni. Out of those 17 have committed to attend the Reunion. Tell me about your plans &/or concerns. I'm interested.

Our reunion is in August of this year. So we have plenty of time to bring along our group.

My biggest surprise was the number of classmates who do not use a computer at all. Hard to believe.

Our group had 20, 30 and 45 year reunions so we had a good start on the process.

You will find with your website you will have the best reunion ever! We have had our class website since March 2008, and have two events in the meantime - our 40th reunion, and a 60th birthday party. These were the best attended events since our 20th. There are connections and reconnections between classmates. It has been the best tool for bringing our classmates back together.

Concerning your reunion, if you don't mind me asking, what will be the price per person? We are just starting the planning of our 45th for 2013.

I am handling the web site, our reunion volunteers are handling the actual reunion. I think they are charging $80 total per person for two events: get together social first night and dinner second night.

We just hit 53.8% of the class in 3 months since we launched the web site. I heard from Mumford HS Class of 61 that they got 58% of 1,000 students to join before their 50th. Anyone know what the record is on ClassCreator for highest percent of a large class to join from the 1960's.

I love your idea, "Interesting Profiles" with the links.I think I'm gonna steal it!

How do you view these? Aren't they password protected?

Site profiles are password protected. Links reference web references which are in the clear.
